  • California ranks first in the number of mobilehomes by more than 32,800 occupied units. California also leads in the production of mobilehomes, manufacturing an average of 30,000 units annually. The largest number of mobilehomes are located in areas of greatest population. Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino, all southern counties, lead with more than 10,000 mobilehomes. Santa Clara, in the Bay Area, is the only other county which had more than 5,000 mobilehomes in the last census.
