Ideological uncertainty: exploring racism as a social issue in communication

Understanding how ideological racist message compositions influence uncertainty reduction is a challenging process, but no more challenging than investigations on cognitive, behavioral, and relational uncertainty that are that are established as relevant to communication research. Ideological uncertainty requires understanding how social issues (i.e., sexism, racism, classism, hetrosexism, ableism) perceived in communication interactions influence how uncertainty is experienced and reduced.
