Outdoor Advertising

[ABSTRACT ONLY; NO FULL TEXT] This thesis discusses the business needs of our client and the processes used to address those needs. Our client arrived with a unique product to deliver outdoor advertising, but without knowledge of potential markets, without a clear direction for his product, and without the knowledge of how to transform his product into a business. This thesis determines that a market for his product exists, defines the market for our client, and provides direction and recommendations for introducing his product to the market. Our group was faced with the difficult task of examining an emerging but still unknown industry for a client who had no sales and minimal to nonexistent market presence. Our group shared responsibilities and project work equally. We all engaged in primary and secondary research and communicated our findings to inform our shared writing responsibilities. Our communication was very open and disagreements were minimal to nonexistent. The maturity and work ethic of our group were the primary drivers of our project's success. Our client and his position are representative of so many other fledgling companies. Entrepreneurs may have an idea and maybe even a working product, but not know if they can turn their ideas into businesses. In that respect this project is an excellent case study and serves as a learning experience, particularly should I or any of my group members attempt to start our own company. We now understand the research, planning, and hard work required to turn a dream into reality.
