Drones in Humanitarian Action

[ABSTRACT ONLY; NO FULL TEXT] We devised a business and marketing plan for an emergency services logistics company with an emphasis on financial modeling analysis. The client requested a competitive analysis including barriers and capital intensity, and research on factors like price point that impact the rate of consumer adoption of their services. In addition, the client requested a comparison to more traditional delivery methods to develop a pricing strategy. We interviewed the client several times to understand the business model, product, goals, downfalls and desired exit strategy. This allowed us to identify the company's strengths and pitfalls and determine where our expertise would assist in devising a suitable business plan and financial model for the client. After extensive research we identified potential opportunities and threats within the novel industry and external environment. Our team devised a Google survey to discover how accepting potential consumers are of the client's services and what consumers are willing to pay for these services. The findings provided the team with valuable insights for our proposed marketing strategy and plan for the client. I used these findings to compile a marketing strategy and recommendations to build and promote the company's brand awareness that will attract consumers to the client's services and increase consumer acceptance. The team's diverse educational background and real-world experience were extremely complementary and contributed greatly to the success of the project. Recommendations and findings were derived from thorough industry and market analysis across a framework of environmental factors. Our cumulative learnings from the MBA program, coupled with the expertise and guidance of our advisors, allowed us to compile a business plan that includes an in-depth financial model analysis, estimates of market potential, and short and long-term strategic plans. Findings and recommendations are proprietary to the client and shall remain confidential.
