A training program for paraprofessionals working with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents

Given the paucity of training materials for special education paraprofessionals, in general, and within the SEO adolescent specialty, particularly, this thesis uses a well-Informed special education paraprofessional training manual as a foundation while including research, lecture notes and training materials specific to the Seriously Emotionally Disturbed adolescent population. The foundational material is entitled �A Training Program for paraprofessionals working in Special Education and Related Services� (Pickett, 1988), which was designed as a "generic" training guide to encompass the expanse of special education.
