Recital and Concerto in Piano by Bach, Dussek, Beethoven, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Lyadov, and Scriabin

In this paper, I will discuss the repertoire from my two recitals. The programs consist of seven works: Johann Sebastian Bach Toccata in G Major, BWV 916; Jan Ladislav Dussek Sonata in D Major, Op. 25 No. 2; Ludwig van Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor Op. 37; Robert Alexander Schumann Waldszenen (Forest Scenes), Op. 82; Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Nocturne in F Major, Op. 10 No. 1; Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin Nocturne in A Major, Op. 5 No. 2; and Anatoly Konstantinovich Lyadov Prelude in B Minor, Op. 11 No. 1. I will discuss the historical background, musical structure and mood of the works, thus helping the listener to better understand them.
