Finding the most suitable location for a new college/university in los angeles county

If a new location of an educational site were to be established in Los Angeles County, where would be the best location?. The selection of a new location is challenging and may be met using Geographical Information Science (GIS) and Network Analysis.. This thesis is an attempt to verify how well, modern geo-informatics techniques, such as network analysis, would be in figuring out the best location for a new university in Los Angeles County. To find the most suitable site for a new educational place in the county is not merely a question of choosing sites, it also involves the comparison and allocation of the spatial characteristics of potential candidates to meet the demands of a particular age group while fulfilling the overall goals of the variables in the process. Using GIS-based Network Analysis, Location-allocation, and Service Area Analysis techniques for the selection process of the new university site this study suggests with a viable location in the region.
