dc.description The self-study was signed and approved in February 2015. It covers changes made in the Department and the BA degree since the last self-study which was written in 2009. The report was developed thorough collaboration with faculty and staff in the Department. It was also discussed during faculty meetings. Final approval was received from the Dean of the College of Humanities. en
dc.description.abstract The Department of Gender and Women’s Studies Self-Study provides an overview of the program consisting of a brief history followed by relevant background information since the last self-study. The report consists of 5 parts. Part I is an overview of the program curriculum and learning outcomes related to the degree offered, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Gender and Women’s Studies, as well as the minor in Gender and Women’s Studies. Part I also describes the Department’s instructional and support staff, advisement, relationship to the Women’s Research and Resource Center, and service to the campus and community. Part II provides information on campus climate in the Department. Part III discusses on-going assessment and strategic planning actions. Part IV covers key strengths and changes that emerged from Department discussions. Part V includes the appendices of all referenced documents including the previous Memorandum of Understanding. en
