It covers changes made in the degrees and Department since the last self-study and subsequent external review and MOU, which was written in AY 2004-2005. The report was developed through collaboration with faculty and staff in the Department. Final approval was received from the Dean of College of Health and Human Development. en
dc.description.abstract The Recreation and Tourism Management M.S self-study provides an overview of two degrees: an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science in Tourism Hospitality Recreation Management) and a graduate degree (Master of Science in Tourism Hospitality Recreation Management). The document consists of a cover page that acknowledges the degrees, options, and minor; the Program Review Self-Study Faculty Committee, and the seeking of accreditation through the Council of Accreditation for Parks, Recreation, and Tourism (COAPRT). It is followed by a Faculty Review Verification and Forward which describes the parallel process of seeking external accreditation and writing the self-study. Final introductory material consists of a one-page executive summary. The body of the report consists of 5 parts: overview of the program, assessment and strategic planning, key strengths and challenges, review of and response to the previous Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and appendices. en
