Children's anger manangement [sic] program (CAMP) : curriculum guide

Youth violence is escalating in severity and occurrence. So much so that, in 1998, President Clinton enjoined the U.S. Departments of Education and Justice to help educators identify and respond to at-risk youth. In addition, President Clinton made available 41 million dollars in Safe Schools/Healthy Students grants to help link community services into a single school-safety and violence-prevention approach. Through Federal pressure educators are being asked to bear the responsibility of providing interventions for these at-risk children. The purpose of this project is to develop a Children's Anger Management Program (CAMP) curriculum guide that will help schools provide prevention and intervention programs. The curriculum is designed for implementation as a school-based anger-management program for children in the first through eighth grades. CAMP is unique because it follows the recommendation of the U.S. Departments of Education and Justice and because the program uses a solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) model.
