[ABSTRACT ONLY; NO FULL TEXT] The purpose of this study was to identify the potential market for an entirely new product that does not exist in the market, and develop a functional business plan and financial forecast for it. We experienced some problems during the investigation. It was difficult to identify which market the product belongs to, discover the strict rules from government agencies on the usage of the product by the public, investigate product safety concerns for the user. We had a low response rate from the survey and no data for comparison either from neither the market nor the client. The study began with interviews with experts and professionals to discuss the potential usage of the product and how to identify and reach potential users. We sent out the survey to agencies to determine the market demand. Lastly, after analyzing the data from the study, we were able to determine estimated costs and production. Every group member engaged with primary and secondary research; all findings are stored in one file and responsibilities are evenly distributed. Unlike other startups, this product is entirely new and needs to define its niche market. Our client is enthusiastic and confident about his product, even a little overconfident, which leads him to be defensive toward critiques provided by experts. This project provided me with a combination of organizational behavior practices and learning experiences for starting my own business.
