dc.description.abstract The Central American Studies 2015-16 annual assessment report to the College of Humanities for the Office of Academic Assessment and Program Review. The department assessed SLOs 1 and 2 (Students will develop critical thinking, writing, and reading skills; and Students will acquire an awareness of the complexity of the historical, social, and cultural developments in Central America as well as an understanding of the diverse Central American cultures, ethnicities, experiences and worldviews) via rubric-scored essays submitted in CAS 309: Ancient to Pre-modern History of Central American Peoples.
