dc.description Describe Cinema and Television Art Department's assessment activities for academic year 2017-2018. en_US
dc.description.abstract The CTVA (B.A./MFA Screenwriting) department 2017-18 annual assessment report to the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication for the Office of Academic Assessment and Program Review. The department revised its Cinema and Television Arts Option SLOs and analyzed its high DFU courses to improve student success. A list of revised PSLOs is included in the report, along with a list of high DFU classes. Measures taken to reduce DFU rates included the formation of a faculty learning community for CTVA 210, and a reduced enrollment cap for the course that produced positive results but which has since been restored to its original level. DFU rates in other courses (CTVA 100, 305, and 310) are also reported to have been reduced. Plans for 2018-19 include continued attention to high DFU classes in upper and lower division common core classes. en_US
