Shadow in the Woods

Silas Farscar, a young fae, was only sixteen when recruited into the Kingdom of Ulinia's guard under the legendary King Normas. With his father fallen under arms and his mother gone, Silas made it his mission to avenge their lives. Two years later, however, Silas has found himself trapped in Milswern Forest, a place of corrupt magic that's caused the trees to confine him. Losing his mortality, trapped with the shadow beast, Nydian, Silas will have no choice but depend on one of his only comrades to help him escape. Silas wants nothing more than to return to his life with his love, Amiya, a soldier from the rival kingdom, Asauth. Although, upon learning of King Normas's crimes, Silas is faced with no choice but to defy him - and face the consequences. As Silas becomes deeply embroiled in the bubbling war between the two kingdoms, he discovers a mole in Asauth that threatens to drown both his love and his home in violence and deceit. Silas will need to risk his life in dangerous alliances to save everyone his loves or lose himself in the process to the beast.
